oops I missed a day

I am trying VERY hard to post all month however Hubs had surgery today. We have been up since 4am and it's not pretty right now. I smell odd and my hair is greasy looking.

The surgery was scary. It frightened me to have to use the thumbs up thumbs down tactic for communcating. I guess you complain about the day to day stuff but when faced with seeing your spouse like that the true feelings come out. Yes i sobbed. I was an embarassment. All that I didn't do was writhe on the floor. But alls well that ends well. He's home, propped up, belly full and has a cup of coffee (did I mention our house is die hard coffee addicts?)
The bad news is tomorrow the weather is going to stink. The good news is while at the hospital I put in for a raffle and won! It's a lottery raffle and was for the Nursing home affiliated with the hospital. Hey they propped up a 98 yr old man in front of a both and NOBODY would go up there. Ok so he was asleep and sort of had that is he sleeping or dead look but he was real nice. I am a softy when it comes to our aged so I bought tickets. Apparently the only ones. As I never win these things. But I did today.
