So about this bloggin business.....
I try to keep up - my audience of two or so depends on me - but sometimes you just have to get out to the three demensional world and live! In other words, Black Friday came and went as did the turkey lurkey day. First off Mr PBS and I stayed home. went solo. Stared at each other. I cooked an 11lb turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, rolls and cranberry sauce for TWO PEOPLE. It was sort of Grey Gardens sad. Plan A had been his family coming over but we opted (due to his little old slice n dice em neck surgery) to lay low. To tell you the truth I MISSED his family... a lot. So we relaxed the rest of the day and then at 3:30am I popped out of bed and hit the sales. My BFF and I do the annual psycho run. This year the hair on our plate was the fact the Canadian dollar is pushing our friends to the north of us over the border. I do have seperate stories to tell about THAt situation. The crowds have tripled in my area. I am no fool, it's damn good for the economy but IT'S MY DAY TO SHOP so outta my freakin way Mounties*! So anyway. We drove 45 minutes away from here to the buttcrack of nowhere and failed miserably. So we zipped back up to town and got some wonderful bargoonies.** I came home and wrapped until midnight. I was Tired with a capital T.

Oh yes today we took Zophia Isabella for a haircut. In the 6.5 minute drive to the "salon" she threw up three times.
Nice.

*Their money is refered to as "Loonie" for a good reason.
**I heart Kohls. Not ONLY do their "early bird specials" last an hour and a half longer than advertised one of their employees stopped me and handed me a well sought after item I mean WELL SOUGHT (Mr PBS might read this and we can't let him know) after. In my history book of being thankful she is right up there with the ticket agent that bumped me up to first class for free a few years ago.

  1. I love reading your posts! I didn't partake in the shopping then again I never have shopped on that day.

I'm back in AR and my head is a thousand times clearer. I'm still not positive what i'm going to do, but I now feel like I can make sound decisions!

  2. I was totally afraid to go shopping...the only time I did attempt this feat my group made sure we had GIANT cocktails before venturing the mall. And that resulted in buying ridiculous tacky underwear for each other. :)

And holy CRAP the Canadians are everywhere. We might actually get rid of the control boards if their dollar stays strong!
