After having a few days to think about it, it's just simply sad. And although I still wish we would have seen the MRS just smack him once for all womenkind I am hoping she did behind closed doors)now it's their private matter to deal with (although for the record I hope for her sake he did wear a condom - there I said it). I am not gawking at the trainwreck of the aftermath. I have largely ignored the late night shows comments and other jabs. Strange, as I a celeb gossip hound. I find what occupies my mind as worrisome is the state budget is due in (I believe) three weeks. Our state has taken a hit. Job losses, bad economy - I want to believe we CAN get it all together and become strong again.
Looking back on the gov. website...I know monday it will look different so take a last peek now.

"Eliot Spitzer was inaugurated as New York’s 54th Governor on January 1, 2007. In his inaugural address, Governor Spitzer said: "Every policy, every action and every decision we make in this administration will further two overarching objectives: We must transform our government so that it is as ethical and wise as all of New York, and we must rebuild our economy so that it is ready to compete on the global stage in the next century"."
We had such high hopes. But it's time to look to the future. He must deal with what he has done
What a train wreck this has all been! I have absolutely no sympathy for that man. I have a feeling she has been very different behind closed doors!
