When it's raining sometimes you just feel like one of the raindrops.

I was looking over my library list today. There was my favorite book of all time - House of Mirth. I love that book. I have two copies at home - nice bookshelf copy (which I always hope will grab someone's attention and propmt a deep discussion on literature)and dog earred copy. I wonder what makes one love a certain genre or author? What is your favorite book? Do you have a favorite author? When I read a book I immediately think of an art style. Edith Wharton reminds me of watercolors. Others will invoke a modern art feel for me or a charcoal drawing (think Angela's Ashes.)* Lately though for some reason I have not been able to pick up a book at best only begrudgingly. I can not figure out why. I ordered a book I have been chomping on the bit to read and there it sits.





*Side note did you know that the bartender on Ryan's Hope was played by Frank McCourt's brother? Do you remember Ryan's Hope? Yep call me the "triv whiz"
