PINKBUNNIESLIPPERS

I have ernestly been reading all the fall fashion magazines and trying to figure out a "look" to proceed with. Um unfortunately I am not finding it in there and the "I picked it out this morning because it was clean" is not the look I want to stay committed to. Oh yes and it has to be age appropriate. Because I am like old. I have a thing for anything houndstooth or tweed - I can beat that look to death. Sadly if I had my way I'd throw a headband on* and call it a day.

Since Mr PBS is most comfortable in his jeans and House of Blues t-shirt I am nervouse every morning when I spill the words out "How does this look?" If I want to know if I am dragging toliet paper behind me he's my 'go to' man. But the brown vs the black pumps? Dangerous. And lately he has had this worried expression like every time I ask him it's a trick question.

anyhoo. I am on page 291 of my Sept '08 ELLE issue** and that means 291 pages of ads with prices "upon request" - Sense my fustration. And of the prices I have seen $795 was the lowest for a pair of shoes! Is it me just not up to this lifetstyle? Who IS buying these things? What kind of life do they live? No one I have ever know has bought shoes like that (sans wedding days of course) - Mind you NOT that they would not love them but...who is??? And where are you wearing them? Who goes to what kind of parties to wear those kinds of things? Why have I gone off on a tangent when all I wanted to know was what to add on to spiffy up my closet.

Off I go to investigate more looks for less.




*seriously Mischa Barton is doing a headband line? Have you SEEN the ones she wears? I swear she made them while drunk or stoned, in the dark with her left hand.
