List of lists of hopeful things:

* Read more. I do read a lot but ... The more you read, the more you know, the more you know your voice will grow" er, something like that

* Look after my health. I obviously have huge concerns about this and didn't realize how off track I was until I went for one appointment last week that led to 3 other ones. Also, groan, weightloss. I groan because I can't help but feel sad I can't be one of those people that can eat whatever. And I'd rather not feel my ass joggle as I walk. yay me for scheduling the boob crusher (aka mammogram.)

* Get spending under control. Operate under a budget. Save money. I may start a new blog for this.

* School. Sadly I admit I have struggled to complete my final education and it bothers me. It bothers me that I am looked down at work for this. It's a sore topic.

* Keep a bettter home. I am messy. My husband is messy. We have two messy dogs. I have clutter and a bad attitude towards cleaning. Funy thing was until I got married and then HAD to clean up after someone I was not so messy. Yes we have fallen into the typical 50's indoor/my responsility outdoor/his responsibilty. The system we have needs to be tweaked and changed.

* Have a better attitude towards marriage. I love being married and have a pretty good guy but the day to day stuff gets me down. It's hard - don't let anyone tell you it's all bluebirds and kisses 24/7. This is work.

* TV. Oh I love it. I would like to watch less of it. I watch "good tv" but heck I can't help but tune into Famiiy Guy, ANTM, P Runway, etc....Does Mad Men and The Tudor's balance this out? I def. need a ref call on this.

* Call Mom/family more. Nuff said.

* Organize. Falls within cleaning but seriously - my closets are just too small!

* Learn to cook properly. A friend (ahem - YOu know who you are!) suggested taking a cooking class. I very much want to relax into the whole process and stop blaming the 60's laminate counters on my aversions to cooking with more than 5 ingredients.
Note I do make a mean chicken enchilada and shepard's pie.

* Become a better person. I have listed privately character flaws within myself (not sure if it's the content or the bulk number of them that made me deem them unfit to list.)

* Entertain more. This will flow more easily when I organize the messy clutter.

* Get out more with girlfriends. I say this but part of my problem is I tend to say yes to a lot and leave poor Mr PBS twiddling his thumbs at home.

* Take good care of my pups. Kelsey Abbagail and Zophia Isabella came into our lives "like a brick through a window" for a good reason. They give me hope I can do all the things on my list.

* In the end Becoming a better "pupmom", wife, friend, sister, daughter, aunt, worker, & "person" is what I hope to do.

I hope someone out there has so encouraging words. Helpful tips (pahleese not on weight loss as I have been down this road and know what I need to do!). Maybe want to share their own list

  1. Great list!!!

    -Cooking classes...let's go for it!
-Cleaning/organizing...check out www.realsimple.com it will give you loads of inspiration!
-The cooking classes and cleaning/organizing will lead you to entertaining more! Which will then lead to having some of your friends over and Mr. PBS is included!
-Health...I'm with you on this one. If you are up to walking at the Y you should join and I'll be your partner in crime!

This really is a great list! I think it helps to write things down and then you know what you need to work on!
