PINKBUNNIESLIPPERS

Well you all would be very surprised to hear that babysitting was a smashing success! The child is not "forever traumatized" as my sister suggested she may be. We had a wonderful time and she is an angel. Poor thing has a cold though. Yes I had to do the squeezy nose thing. The suction thing. Fun. But seriously she is the cutest thing ever. So good natured. Her parents came home looking exhausted (um they went to a four course dinner benefit w/ wine tasting) and on que as soon as they sat down we heard a little noise on the monitor. Yep she was up and it was her "morning" - she was giggly and playful. That is when I discovered the beauty of being the non mom.
I left.
I went home and slept.
Her parents didn't.
The next morning I slept in.
Her parents didn't.
I did discover that I am older than I thought. My KNEES hurt the next day from running up and down the stairs. That's a knock to one's ego. To make it worse last night my nephews stopped by at 8:15pm only to find me IN MY JAMMIES on a SATURDAY NIGHT. I collected two cool points! not.

One more humiliating note. Since Time Wa-er, our cable provider-is not broadcasting our local channel we get the Bills games on yours truly found herself suggesting to Mr PBS we grab a Smithwick's, roll over the chairs to the front window and watch the game on our nighbors 52 inch tv. Sadly we sat there watching for a bit. Apparently going a block to the nieghborhood pub is exherting too much energy for the dynamic duo.
