The christmas card that wasn't.
I searched high and low over the summer for an antique sled to pose the girls by for the card this year. I found one that I fell in love with for $15 (the same day I got my rotary black phone that I swoon over with it's hearty ring and no caller ID.) I pictured heeps of snow and my black furry ones in stark contrast. I was mulling over cute captions that had to do with sledding and hot cocoa after....
nope.
As you see there was a bit of snow. Mud underneath. No one would sit still. Zophia wanted to eat/pee on the sled. Mr PBS stood there capturing it all. I didn't look up because there was a tear glistening in my eye like the indian in the commercials from the 70's...

Oh we had a second try by the fireplace.
Then one by the tree. Note bright shiney things are to be avoided when trying to get a serene Christmas photo op.

Next year the picture is going to be just me with a BIG holiday drink in my hands with the caption "Lit like a Christmas tree all year long"

  1. HAHA! Maybe you needed me to come over so the girls would behave?

    Seriously...that was so funny!

  2. LMAO -- the picture and caption for next years Christmas card are beyond hilarious.

I am only able to take pictures of my dog by bribing her with a peanut butter treat (or a peanut butter jar) held below the camera.
