I find it funny that when 4 o'clock rolls around those of us at work with adorded pets are chomping on the bit to get home and see our furry children. Those with human children sort of sigh heavily and then sort of slunk out the door at 5pm. In case you do not know me that well I am completely obsessed with my dog. Kelsey Abbagail. Our family sort of came together like a brick through a window two years ago. Since then she has taken with a grain of salt being stalked by me with a flashing camera (I call myself the Puparazzi), making semi routine "spa" visits for beautification, occasionally being donned in some sort of nightmareish holiday outfit, going to "pet portrait day" at JC Penny's for um professional shots, being the focus of our Christmas cards, has had every toy available on the eastern seaboard brought home to her for her pleasure (oh the crushed look we pup parents wear when the toy is sniffed at and then ignored) and once in awhile gets the day's blog dedicated to her and all her glory. Daily the Hubs and I look at each other and both go "awwww" and "we are sooo lucky" and gush over her like she has graduated valadictorian of her Harvard med school class (she would if she were human, don't argue this one with me!).
She is sitting beside me right now "making her feet pretty" aka licking them. I look over and just beam. I dream of being able to quit my job at (censored for my protection) and stay home being a full time pup mom. We would find play groups and maybe a learning lab (haha lab get it?) and I think it would make her, er me happier! For now I will go to work every day and tell the latest cute story of Kelsey Abbagail then straighten her picture collage on my desk. By the way, she did the cutest thing last night....
