proving no two snowflake's are alike.
Well it's monday. I desperately dislike monday's. I literally said out loud this monring No not yet". Some weeks you just want a double double sunday (you know like a double double coffee).
We went to a wedding on saturday. it was gorgeous and the couple was cute as a button. Christmas music played during dinner. The Best Man's speech was funny/slightly inappropriate and yet warm. The cake was to die for. And we knew no one but the groom. We made friends quickly. His grandmother sat down with us for a bit. She was terribly sweet and kind. She and I drank Gin & Tonics together. Then we met his wife's co workers, they were our table mates. Well, by the time we left we had exchanged phone numbers and were hugging. Weddings just bring out the magic in each of us. Fences are mended, walls come down and people just smile.
Monday's on the other hand bring out the worst. A #1 suspect right here. We are chaotically busy at work. Two of us are doing the work of five right now (TWO maternity leaves, one promotion). I miss the gradual getting aclimated to the work day mornings. The good news is my old co worker/partner in crime may be joining me. I do feel bad as in January I will be out for some surgery and she may be swamped. I did have to disclose that so she didn't get sideswiped. I myself and wimpering from the pressure right now but am keeping a smile on my face. There must be a light in this tunnel.
Well off to sleepy time. Keep happy thoughts for me going (must get through the day, must get through the day)
