ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH That is the sound you hear from me when you spend a half hour jotting down a blog and your computer "burps" and woosh you have to reboot.

I was writing a delightful and snappy blog about history and the Romanov's (I just finished The Kitchen Boy). How I love history blah blah blah...Quoting this and making some very good observations. Poof, all gone. Reading this book has renewed my interest in the family and I am researching good sites to find solid information to share. An odd thing that facinates me is that the family were avid picture takers. Cameras were owned by young and old. Since photography was still pretty new I can see how this would be. It means I will have to buy The Camera and the Tsars: A Romanov Family Album.

Today-coming back to here and now-T. and I went shoe shopping! For his birthday LAST OCTOBER I was to take him to get sneakers. Well the boy hates getting out there and shoe shopping. Finally we went. Yes he got a flashy pair of new treads. I also got a pair of black shoes. You know the nice solid "not pump but not too chunky heel goes with skirts and pants" shoe? I always laugh and think of "Friends" when they make fun of Monica's "clunky black amish things you think go with everything" - yeah that's me in my Mootsie Tootsie's. We also did grocery shopping and went to Don Pablo's. Diet what diet? Hey i did get the "skinny enchiladas".

I am going to see my Mother in Law's new cat tomorrow! I bought some toys to take with us - I am so used to buying dog toys it was very different. She just got her and her name is Annie. She sounds adorable. She sounds very spunky and curious. I know T. would love more than anything to get a cat. However turns out we both are pretty allergic. Right before we got the furry child we were looking at one paticular cat. BTW As I am typing this my little Kelsey is staring at me. Yes she got a toy too. Yes she got mucho attention all morning and when we got home. I wish I could see the thought bubble above her head. First it would be "I'd sell you down the river for chocolate" or "I know where you're going tomorrow and I am NOT happy". You see Kelsey LOVES her "Gammy" and all we have to go is say her name and she goes into a tizzy! It is a happy day when she comes for dinner. If I ever learn to post pictures I will post the one of them together.

So I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Mine went better than the week did (not awful but I was sick and had a HORRIBLE interview. I usually interview VERY well so that was perplexing. It felt like a bad blind date - then again maybe it was that I had a male chauvinist pig across from me making snide remarks about his staff that are working mothers). I may work in a quirky office where we are sometimes thisclose to eharing someone talking about the TPS Report but it feels like home.

What an ecclectic blog it's been tonight.
