New Year's Day!
Welcome to 2007! What a year! We started it off with a "jammie rammie" day. Have not left the house. It is the last day before D day so we are ordering pizza. I have organized my bills and paid them this afternoon (how effiecient I feel!). I have put most of the Xmas decorations away and did 4 loads of wash. I decided I will start saying novena's (no, I am not catholic but...) for an appliance dishwasher. I say appliance because be careful what you wish for - a long lost relative looking for a place to stay claiming they will "do dishes" may show up at your door if you're not specific. This is my first time living without one. I have nothing against doing dishes and half the time when I have had one I do them by hand anyway but during the holidays you sorely miss the thrill of packing dishes in one and hitting the on button. Lock n load - or would that be in this case load and lock?
What did everyone do for New Year's Eve? The hubs and I stayed in. I made enchildas (one of my specialties) and we watched an Ab Fab marathon. We turned the ball on JUST as it had dropped! The stroke of midnight. Afterward there was NOTHING on TV so we watched 1986 Soul Train. We sighed big sigh's and said how we missed the 80's. I described my big long sparkly silver "going to a club" shirt I had ("it was totally radical" you know shoulder pads and buttoned at the top). If you know me you would laugh. I am sooo not the silver sparkly shirt kind of girl. Of course I did weigh what one of my legs weighs now back then and could pull the look off.
Then it was off to sleepy time.
My precious furry child is stalking me right now so I must go pay her attention.
Note: before the budget kicks in I did do some last minute shopping. For the record I got a cute Liz Claiborne purse for under $12 and a pair of pants for work for $4.99 (yes, $4.99) both at Macy's. I love bargoonies. Also I am reading Marian Keyes "Angels" right now and it's great.
I will try and write a bit more later.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
