It was a tough week at work. Training someone and handling the work load. Midway through I decided it was an opportunity to "prove" myself and have been working extra hard. Setting daily goals what i want accomplished by the end of the day has helped. Friday (my day I usually like to take it just a bit easy) I went above and beyond. Yay for me.
So now here we are on saturday. I have a funeral to go to. A close friend's relative. It of course is grey and raining. The hubs has to work so it's an odd saturday with morning everyone getting ready. Poor pups has a thought bubble above her head "Panic, mayday they are both bolting from me on MY day. Note to self: poop in the house for payback"
Yesterday I was at subway (friday $1.99 Tuna sub special) and there was almost a fight between a customer and a Subway worker - wait a worker for the "corporation that owns Subway" as he said. I will say that the customer was polite and the worker RUDE. The people that actually worked IN the shop were wonderful (and caught in the middle). it was lunchtime entertainment for me though.
I finished marian keyes "angels" last night. v. good. Trying to figure out what I want to read next. I am addicted to buying cheap used books (sometimes a PENNY) on Amazon. I am trying to get through what the Hubs says are the "stacks of books" laying around the house. We were talking about starting a book club at work. Not sure how that would pan out....we tried tp start a movie club. The first Tuesday of every month going to the movies. It lasted one month.
