Happy Easter!

We had a relaxing day here. Got up late and had a nice breakfast the napped...I ran to the store to pick up fixin's for dinner and then read all afternoon. It is so cold and dreary that one just wants to sort of just curl up in the nice warm house (with a fireplace roaring but alas all I could come up with was candles). I was reading The Other Bloelyn Girl and it just was the right book for the weather. I also baked a cake. Cherry Chip.*
The hubs suprised me with a beautiful snowglobe** and movie - The Devil Wears Prada. I had gotten him a CD and some chocolate (he is passionate about chocolate and peanut butter).

I started the book Nineteen Minutes and it looks like it will be a very good read. It is not my type in so many ways but it is a page turner. Yesterday while T and I were in Barnes and Noble having coffee and waiting for the call to pick up the furry child (angry furry child at that point) from the groomers I indulged in a little "last chapter reading". You know you pick up all the books you'd really like to read but that have made your B list. Then you read the first and last chapter. Woosh all done. Honestly LCR saves time and energy. This is only for B list reading. I wouldn't recommend this route for any book you REALLY have been anticipating (nor, God forbid, any self help book...).

I have FINALLY figured out how to tweak my blog a bit (kudos to K for her help!) so I hope I get it looking sharp!

That is it for now folks as I am a bit tired and want to make myself a nice cup of tea.



*Note it is impossible to find this cake mix anywhere now and I used my last box! I don't know what will be my new favorite or how I will handle Cherry Chip withdrawl.
**I love LOVE penguins and it has one half in and half out! V Cute. AND he gets extra credit as he originally went looking for the Scotty/Westy salt and pepper shakers I saw at Hallmark that I so very much want.
