Saturday! SATURDAY. IT'S SATURDAY!
Yay. I love the weekends. Face it, we work hard over the week and we DESERVE the weekend.
This sunday is Easter. I opted not to get T. persents (chocolate etc) this year but a CD. Easter to me is dressing up and standing in front of the yellow tree (technically belonging to the neighbors) and posing with my sister in our easter finest. Also there was hiding eater baskets for my nephews. That always was fun. Their serious little faces looking for their pot o gold !
The babes gets her hair cut today. I call it her "Spa Day" (hey they claim to massage her). We drop her off and then circle around a few times to catch a glimpse of her. Yes who's a nerd? Hand raised right here.
This week I went to dinner with some of the girls from work and had a great time. If you know me you'd realize I am EXTREMELY shy and uncomfortable in crowds. I will normally herd someone to talk one on one. Mainly because I can't hear anything in crowds being slightly deaf. I try to do these things to throw over all those fears and phobias. I also was asked to join a bookclub of a friend of a friend. New people (aka STRANGER DANGER!) make me nervous also. But I said yes. A. because I love to read and B. to confront those phobias. (side note I am not sure about the first book Nineteen Minutes as it involves a high school shooting but will let you know how it is). Over time I noticed if I get it out in the open I can't hear that well, people are kinder and understand. About a year ago the Dr confirm almost complete hearing loss in my left ear and since it was already operated on they can't do it again so next step is hearing aid, how senior citizen of me! arghhh.
BTW Right now I am reading The Other Boelyn Girl and would highly recommend it if you enjoy history.
That is funny that we talked both talked about friends in our post and how we are shy!
