Today my furry child had a play date. As we will be dog sitting for approx 4 days in the the next few weeks we decided it was best to get the two furry kids together. Well they took to each other like wild fire. Our pup is a schnauzer mix that is roughly 29lbs and all terrier attitude. My friend's f.c. is 112lbs of chocolate lab and as his Mom says is "a 'fraidy cat". We live in a small postage stamp size house (really, no kidding) and to see this rather large dog running around was quite amusing. But there was lots of tail waggin goodness and happy chasing around (literally at one point in small circles, soooo cute!) and the humans collectively going "Awwwwww!"
Of course at one point my ladylike girl was sniffing someone's er um hind quarters just as "chocolate droplets" came shooting out. EWW GROSS! BTW she did abort sniffing in time so big sigh of relief!
There was all kinds of romping in the backyard (even smaller than a postage stamp, you can barely turnaround in our yard!) and barking. In other words there was some serious canine flirting going on.
Tomorrow I am off to my sister's for turkey dinner and I am excited. One thing I love is turkey dinner. The hubs can take it or leave it but I get practically giddy over the anticipation!
Which makes me think now that I have a new dining room table and stove, am I in line for the family Thanksgiving meal this year? hmmmmmm.
